1971 Jaguar E

This 1971 Jaguar E-Type Series III 2+2 V12 was purchased by the owner in 1986 and underwent a restoration that was completed in 1999. It is powered by a 5.3-liter V12 linked with a three-speed automatic transmission and a limited-slip differential. The car is finished in Regency Red over black leather, and features include four-wheel disc brakes, power steering, 15″ steel wheels with polished hubcaps, quadruple Zenith-Stromberg carburetors, an AM/FM radio, and air conditioning. This Series III E-Type is now offered on behalf of the owner with the owner’s manual, spare parts, a car cover, manufacturer’s literature, restoration photos, and a clean Georgia title. The car was stripped to bare metal and refinished in Regency Red during the restoration. A crinkle on the front bonnet was repaired at that time. Exterior details include uncovered headlights, US-spec bumpers, and a forward-hinged louvered hood. There is a scratch on the windshield, and the seller reports that a temperature-sensitive metallurgical defect on the left-rear wheel well opening appears in warm weather and disappears in cold weather. The 15″ steel wheels feature polished hubcaps and are mounted with 205/70 Pirelli P4000 SuperTouring tires. The Series III E-Type was factory equipped with power steering, and stopping power is provided by four-wheel disc brakes with inboard-mounted rear rotors. The brake system was replaced during the restoration and utilizes DOT-5 fluid. The master cylinders were re-sleeved and the fluid was flushed in November 2024. The 2+2 cabin features front bucket seats and a rear bench upholstered in black leather as well as color-coordinated door panels. Interior amenities include an AM/FM radio, a Kienzle analog clock, a locking glovebox, and air conditioning. The air conditioning system, lines, and Frigidaire compressor were replaced during the build, and the system utilizes R12 refrigerant.
