1985 Monte Carlo Streetstock Complete with a high hp 350
About This Car
Race shop built in 2018 and I purchased in the Summer of 2021 when the Texas tracks it ran at dropped the class. The engine was just freshened when I bought it and it is a super strong running 350. See pics for engine components. This is NOT a junkyard engine but rather a high horsepower SBC that will scream and not run hot. I’ve only made about 30 laps in the pasture, never took it to the track SS I was running another car from the same shop and never had any engine problems. Depending on your track rules it is race ready if you are allowed to run a 3 link car with panhard bar. If you race CRUSA rules itll need the upper 2 links links of the triangulated 4 link system welded in and the brackets welded onto the top of the 9” Ford rearend. A new rear body cover comes with it if you need to close it up above the rear bumper. If you’re close enough, come have a look and listen to it. We can take it to the pasture and you get a feel for how good this car really is. I’d bring it to Whynot if you get serious about purchase and let a good SS or late model driver im familiar with hot lap it. Really gonna hear it turn at Whynot with the 6:50 gear in it, but I’ll say it can handle the RPMs, no problem.Ive kept the battery charged and engine cranked every month. Sitting on American Racers with 6 extra AR and 8 Hoosier H500. Only one headlock and 6 non BL steel wheels. Includes front springs from 500-1200 and tears from 150-300. Also includes a like new set of car scales in a rolling case. It raced only 3 years and frame/rollcage are in great shape. Starts right up every time and I doubt you’ll get it to 180 degrees unless you drain out some water. Oil pressure is great. This car needs a new wrap or paint, but it’ll get you into the big show, so dont pass this one up thinking it’s less than a super good car.
