1991 Lamborghini LM002

About This Car

The 1991 Lamborghini LM002, chassis #2204, is one of just 328 built between 1986 and 1993—a V12-powered off-roader that helped define the extreme end of Lamborghini’s range. Nicknamed the “Rambo Lambo,” it features the 5.2-liter, 48-valve V12 from the Countach, producing 444 horsepower and pushing nearly 6,800 pounds to 60 mph in just 7.7 seconds. Originally conceived for military use, the LM002 evolved from the rear-engine Cheetah and LM001 prototypes. Lamborghini re-engineered the chassis, moved the engine to the front, and debuted the final design at the 1986 Brussels Auto Show. Though it never saw combat, the LM002 offered civilian luxuries like full leather interiors, air conditioning, and roof-mounted audio controls. This example, #2204, has traveled through Saudi Arabia, Japan, and the Netherlands before arriving in Miami. Finished with a champagne leather interior and wood trim, it retains key features like the tailgate, jump seats, and massive 345/60 R17 Pirelli Scorpion tires developed specifically for this model. Recently, the truck received a full fluid flush and service. With a 72-gallon tank, military-grade toughness, and unmistakable presence, the LM002 remains one of the most radical and collectible Lamborghinis ever built.
