About This Car

Beautiful and fast, this bright red 1998 Camaro is purpose-built for land speed racing on the Bonneville Salt Flats at SCTA- and USFRA-sponsored events. With other gears, it can compete at one-mile to 1-1/2-mile courses around the country. We began with a '98 Camaro car, no engine or tranny. Original Chevy parts on the car include the body shell, being the top, doors, rear fenders, trunk lid, rear panel, firewall, and floor pan. Also, the trunk key. After-market body parts include the nose, hood, front fenders, water tank, fuel tank and polycarbonate windows. The full roll cage also strengthens and stiffens the entire car. The engine is a 369 cid Chevy LS full-race LSR engine. Specifications are below, and there is an article in the 2/06/2018 Engine Builder Magazine which describes the build. Yes, we call the car SloPoke because our first motor was an "engine of convenience." It was not up to the task, so we built this present full-race LSR engine for it. Price: $64,000 cash. Roller: $44,500. Engine: $34,500. No trades. You cannot build this for $120k. We have additional photos and videos. Please email gmac@limatangoinc.com, leaving your contact information.
