Coyote-Powered Backdraft Racing Roadster
About This Car
This Backdraft Racing Roadster is powered by a 5.0-liter Coyote V8 linked with a Tremec TKO 600 five-speed manual transmission and 3.91 limited-slip differential. Finished in gray with silver and black stripes, the car is equipped with 18″ Halibrand-style wheels, four-wheel disc brakes, independent suspension, side exhaust pipes, and rack-and-pinion steering. Other details include a chrome roll hoop, quick jack bumperettes, heated seats, a wood-rimmed steering wheel, and black leather upholstery. Acquired by the current owner in 2023, this Cobra replica is now offered on consignment by the selling dealer, a BaT Local Partner , with a clean California title describing the car as a 1965 KITV. The gray finish is complemented by silver stripes with black accents, and the car is outfitted with a single chrome roll hoop, a Raydot-style side-view mirror, a LeMans-style gas cap, front and rear quick-jack bumperettes, front fender vents, and side exhaust pipes. Halibrand-style 18″ wheels are secured by knock-off spinners and are mounted with Toyo Proxes R888R tires, which were installed in preparation for the sale. The car rides on four-wheel independent suspension and features rack-and-pinion steering as well as four-wheel disc brakes. The heated bucket seats are upholstered in black leather with embroidered Backdraft Racing logos. Color-coordinated trim adorns the dash, door panels, and parking brake boot. The wood-rimmed steering wheel is mounted to the left of AutoMeter instrumentation, which includes a reverse-sweep 180-mph speedometer, an 8k-rpm tachometer, and auxiliary readouts. The digital odometer indicates 6k miles. The 5.0-liter Coyote V8 is backed by a Tremec TKO 600 five-speed manual transmission. A Centerforce clutch, Quick Time bellhousing, and a 3.91 limited-slip differential are also fitted. Additional underside photos are included in the gallery below.
