Ferrari 312PB-Style Go-Kart

This go-kart was hand-built by the seller over the past year-and-a-half as an 80%-scale rendition of 1970s Ferrari 312PB race cars, and incorporates various details that arose through the model’s development. Highlights of the build include a Honda Gold Wing 1,520cc SOHC flat-six and five-speed transmission, coil-over dampers, four-wheel disc brakes, a Polaris Sportsman rear differential, staggered-diameter wheels, and fiberglass bodywork over a custom steel frame with boxed aluminum sections. The driver is provided with a padded seat, a harness, a three-spoke MOMO steering wheel, a roll bar, a rear-view mirror, a windscreen, and a fire bottle. Work in April 2026 included an oil and filter change, replacing the spark plugs, flushing the coolant, and rebuilding the carburetor. The Ferrari 312PB was introduced in 1971 and later found success, winning 11 of the 12 races in the World Championship for Makes in 1972. Factory drivers included Mario Andretti, Jacky Ickx, Carlos Reutemann, Brian Redman, Clay Regazzoni, and Ronnie Peterson. The seller fabricated the fiberglass body panels based on photographs of various iterations of 312PB race cars and produced the panels at an 80% scale of the factory cars. The bodywork is finished in red with unfinished lower panels, and features include a front spoiler, covered headlights, white tail fins, a black roll bar, air ducts, a driver’s fairing, a windscreen, taillights, dual exhaust outlets, white roundels, Shell and Chronograph Heuer logos, a “P” designation, and a raised rear-view mirror. Opening doors with pull-cord latches also feature, together with hinged rear bodywork for access to the engine.
