No Reserve: 1966 Porsche 912 Coupe for sale on BaT Auctions

This Porsche 912 coupe was purchased on the original owner’s behalf by her father in 1965 after a teaching tour in Germany through the United States Military. Delivered in January 1966, it remained in the Bay Area until it was acquired by the seller on BaT in November 2024 . The car has been twice refinished in its original shade of Signal Red, and it was specified with a five-speed manual gearbox, black leatherette upholstery, and Dunlop tires. Notable work over the past two decades consisted of a rebuild of the 1.6-liter flat-four, retrimming the interior, and a most recent respray of the exterior in 2016. This SWB 912 coupe is now offered at no reserve by the seller in California with a 1965 order acknowledgement, three binders of service records dating to the 1960s, handwritten notes, and a clean Montana title in the name of the seller’s LLC. A handwritten letter from the original owner’s father is included with the car that outlines the deposit to purchase the 912. The car was ordered in Signal Red, and it has been twice repainted – most recently by Koss Collision Center in 2016, at which time trim and rubber components were replaced. The 15″ wheels were mounted with 165-series Michelin XAS NO tires in May 2025. Bilstein shocks were installed out back under previous ownership, and replacement rear torsion bar bushings were installed in 2025. The car was ordered with black leatherette upholstery, and the cabin was retrimmed in 2010 by ABC Auto Upholstery in San Jose.
